Uncertain Glory

In 1937, on the Aragon front, Lluís (Marcel Borràs), a young officer in the Republican army stationed at a temporarily inactive post, encounters Carlana (Núria Prims), a mysterious widow with whom he falls in love. She deceives him into forging a document that grants her control over the region. Lluís’s closest friend, Soleràs (Oriol Pla), a disgraced officer, uncovers the deception and, in return for keeping it a secret, demands that Lluís relocate his wife and son away from the bombings in Barcelona. Soleràs harbors a secret love for Lluís’s wife, Trini (Bruna Cusí). When Trini arrives in the village, she quickly uncovers Lluís’s betrayal, leading to a “state of war” between them that shakes their moral foundations.
