Kickin’ It

“Kickin’ It” is a comedy TV series with a martial arts theme that premiered on Disney XD on June 13, 2011. The show, created and executive produced by Jim O’Doherty, is suitable for children aged 7 and up. It centers around a karate instructor, portrayed by Jason Earles, at a struggling martial arts school and his five unconventional students, played by Leo Howard, Dylan Riley Snyder, Mateo Arias, Olivia Holt, and Alex Christian Jones.

On September 20, 2011, Disney XD announced the renewal of the series for a second season, which began airing on April 2, 2012. The network further confirmed on November 5, 2012, that a third season was in the works, with production starting in January 2013 and the premiere on April 1, 2013. Alex Christian Jones did not return as a main cast member for this season. In August 2013, Disney XD commissioned a fourth season, set to broadcast in 2014. Olivia Holt will not be part of the fourth season as she is moving on to star in the Disney Channel series “I Didn’t Do It.”
