The narrative follows Roman Compte, a Cuban exile who participated in the Bay of Pigs invasion against Fidel Castro. After relocating to Miami, he rebuilt his life and became the general manager of the Mutiny Hotel, which served as the dazzling hub of Miami’s cocaine culture during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
