Girlfriends
“Girlfriends” is a U.S. comedy-drama series that debuted on September 11, 2000, on the UPN network. It continued to air on The CW, which succeeded UPN, until its cancellation in 2008, with the last episode broadcast on February 11, 2008. When the show returned for its eighth season in the fall of 2007, it held the distinction of being the longest-running live-action sitcom on network television at the time. It was also among the top-rated scripted programs for African American adults and women aged 18-34, alongside its spin-off, “The Game.”
