Carnivàle is a U.S. television series that takes place during the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl era. It follows the lives of two distinct groups, weaving a narrative that explores the conflict between good and evil, as well as the tension between free will and fate. The series blends elements of Christian theology with gnostic beliefs and Masonic traditions, especially those related to the Knights Templar.
