Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Aqua Teen Hunger Force is an American animated series featured on Cartoon Network’s late-night segment, Adult Swim. It officially premiered on Adult Swim on September 9, 2001, following a pilot episode that aired as a special preview on Cartoon Network on December 30, 2000. The show follows the bizarre escapades of three talking fast food characters: Master Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad, along with their human neighbor, Carl Brutananadilewski.
This series is a spin-off from Space Ghost Coast to Coast and, as of 2013, holds the record as the longest-running original series on Adult Swim. It is also among the top 10 longest-running American animated series. The episodes are crafted by the show’s creators, Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro, who also lend their voices to various characters. Starting in 2011, each season has been given a unique alternative title and a new opening sequence as an ongoing joke by the creators. Aqua Teen Hunger Force: The Movie, a cinematic adaptation of the series, was released in theaters on April 13, 2007, marking the first time an Adult Swim show was turned into a film.
