Jeok-gwa-eui dong-chim

In June 1950, shortly after the Korean War begins, a group of North Korean soldiers arrives in a small South Korean village. Captain Jeong-woong announces that their mission is to free the villagers, but their real goal is to root out dissenters. The villagers, along with Seol-hee, who is parted from her fiancé on their wedding day, extend genuine hospitality and cooperation to stay in the soldiers’ good graces. Over time, bonds of friendship begin to form between the soldiers and the villagers.
