Inversion

The air pollution in Tehran has hit critical levels due to thermal inversion. Niloofar, a single woman in her thirties, resides with her elderly mother and runs a tailoring business. When medical professionals advise that her mother needs to leave the polluted city for the sake of her respiratory health, Niloofar’s brother and other family members decide that she should relocate as well to care for her mother. This situation leaves Niloofar conflicted between her duty to her family and her desire for independence. Being the youngest, she has always followed their directives.
