City Baby
Seductive and fashion-forward, City Baby explores intense romances and intricate friendships. Life accelerates rapidly for Cloey when she’s unexpectedly pushed out of her comfort zone, forcing her to become self-reliant. Her stable relationship with her boyfriend begins to fall apart, her childhood best friend is leaving town, and her father’s (Daniel Baldwin) financial support is cut off. The film critiques the relentless pursuit of bigger and better things—whether in relationships, cities, or careers—suggesting that sometimes what we already have is enough. Featuring appearances by Portland musicians like Stephen Malkmus of Pavement, live performances by Glass Candy and Starfucker, and a soundtrack filled with local talent, City Baby portrays a world of young adults navigating the complexities of life in a hip, vibrant setting.
