When Paul shows up unexpectedly at her family’s seaside home, nineteen-year-old Emma can’t help but notice him. This charming photographer, with ties to her mother’s past, seems to have an air of mystery about him. Despite the oddity of his visit, Emma, a budding writer feeling stifled by her affluent surroundings, becomes increasingly fascinated by him.
