Banana Joe
In this film, Bud Spencer portrays Banana Joe, a strong yet amiable man residing in the small rainforest village of Amantido. He lives with a large number of his children and frequently transports bananas to a river port in South America, which is how he earned his nickname. One day, the henchmen of a local crime lord named Torsillo arrive in Amantido with plans to build a banana processing facility. True to his straightforward nature, Joe drives the thugs away, who then report back to Torsillo. Discovering that Joe is selling bananas without the necessary permits, Torsillo decides to take advantage of the situation. During Joe’s next banana delivery, the police detain him, presenting him with a choice: obtain a legal license or face the confiscation of his boat and arrest for illegal trading. Joe then ventures to the nearest city, a place unfamiliar to him as he has spent his life in the rainforest.
