3½ Minutes, Ten Bullets
On Black Friday, the day following Thanksgiving in November 2012, a group of four boys in a red SUV arrives at a gas station after a day spent at the mall shopping for sneakers and chatting with girls. With loud music playing, one of the boys steps out of the vehicle to quickly grab a soda and some gum from the store. Meanwhile, a man and a woman park their car next to the boys, stopping to purchase a bottle of wine. The woman heads inside, and a confrontation ensues when the driver of the second vehicle requests that the boys lower their music. Just 3½ minutes and ten gunshots later, one of the boys lies dead. The film “3½ MINUTES” delves into the repercussions of this tragic incident.
